Julian Michael Scanlan (born May 1, 1997), known professionally as Slushii, is an American musician, DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer based in Los Angeles. He is best known for working with various artists managed by Moe Shalizi, such as Marshmello, Ookay and Jauz, and for gaining support from notable musician and Owsla-record label founder Skrillex. Early life Scanlan grew up in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Mount Laurel and graduated from Lenape High School in Burlington County, New Jersey. He worked at Best Buy as a customer service representative in New Jersey until the loss of his cloud-based music and followers led him to start down a new path. Scanlan was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, Asperger's syndrome, which he says interfered with his ability to make friends and read social cues. As a result, he was bullied in middle school. Christopher Comstock (born May 19, 1992), known professionally as Marshmello, is an American electronic music producer and DJ. His songs "Silence", "Wolves", "Friends", " Happier", and " Alone" have been certified multi-platinum in several countries and appeared in the Top 30 of the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. His musical style includes groove-oriented, synth and bass-heavy electronic dance music. He is managed by Moe Shalizi. Lenape High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Medford Township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Moe Shalizi (born April 11, 1990) is an Afghan-American talent manager, record executive, and investor. He is best known as the manager of Marshmello. Shalizi is the CEO and Founder of The Shalizi Group and Pick Six Records, and co-owner of the marshmallow brand Stuffed Puffs. Early life and education Shalizi was born on April 11, 1990 in Palm Springs, California and raised in Irvine, California. He attended his freshman year at Northwood High School and then relocated to Corona, California where he graduated from Santiago High School. Monstercat (formerly known as Monstercat Media) is a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mad Decent is an American record label founded by Diplo. The label has helped introduce Brazilian baile funk and Angolan kuduro to clubs around the world. Recently, it has popularized moombahton, a genre of electronic dance music created by DJ Dave Nada. Asperger syndrome (AS), also known as Asperger's, is a former neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by significant difficulties in Interpersonal relationship, social interaction and nonverbal communication, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behaviour and interests.
