Lesce
Lesce () is a town in the Municipality of Radovljica in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is an industrial and tourist centre. It is one of the earliest-mentioned settlements in the region, first noted in a document from 1004 together with Bled and Bohinj. In the centre of the old town there is a three-aisled pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin, originally a Gothic church with remnants of 14th-century frescos on its exterior, but which was extensively changed in the 17th century in the Baroque style. The church is known for its frescoes in the dome of the presbytery painted by Franc Jelovšek. Lesce is the location of the Lesce–Bled Airfield and Šobec Campground. Lesce is also the home town of retired ski jumpers Vinko Bogataj and Franci Petek. Lesce was selected by MTV as the site for its annual Spring Break Jam in the spring of 2009. Ladies European Tour
The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. The tour is run by a Board of Directors and a Players' Council. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. The tour operates tournaments across five continents. History The U.S.-based LPGA was founded in 1950, but women's professional golf was slower to get established in Europe. Stroke Play
Stroke play, also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf in which the total number of strokes is counted over one or more rounds of 18 holes. In stroke play, the winner is the player who has taken the fewest strokes over the course of the round, or rounds. Karen Lunn
Karen Marie Lunn (born 21 March 1966) is an Australian professional golfer. She turned professional in 1985 and has spent much of her career on the Ladies European Tour, where she has won several tournaments including a Women's British Open title in 1993 (before that tournament was an LPGA major championship). She topped the Order of Merit in 1993. In 2004, Lunn was named the Ladies European Tour's Chairman of the Board. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and now lives in Surrey, England. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting.
