SlingShot (Cedar Fair)
SlingShot is a reverse bungee ride manufactured by Funtime. Cedar Fair amusement parks that feature the ride include Cedar Point, Carowinds, and Canada's Wonderland. An additional fee is required to ride, which is separate from park admission. History Slingshot at Cedar Fair park locations first opened at Kings Island in 2002. A similar installation opened at Cedar Point in 2014, along with the addition of Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles, and a renovated Gemini Midway. It was built by Funtime. It opened at Cedar Point on July 2, 2014, after being open to employees for a few days. Millennium Force
Millennium Force is a steel roller coaster located at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. Manufactured by Intamin, it was the park's fourteenth roller coaster when it opened in 2000, dating back to the opening of Blue Streak in 1964. Upon completion, Millennium Force broke five world records and was the world's first ''giga coaster'', a term coined by Intamin and Cedar Point to represent roller coasters that exceed in height. Gemini (roller Coaster)
Gemini is a racing roller coaster with a wooden structure and steel track, located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Built in 1978 by Arrow Dynamics and designed by Ron Toomer, it is one of the oldest roller coasters in the park. When the ride opened, it was marketed as the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coaster in the world. All three record-breaking claims were falsely made as other coasters around the world already beat Gemini. The all-steel Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, opened earlier that year before Gemini and was taller but had a shorter drop. The reverse bungee (also known as catapult bungee, slingshot, or ejection seat) is a modern type of fairground ride that was invented by Troy Griffin in c. 1978. The ride grew a following and is now one of the best known rides.
