Perlis, ( Northern Malay: ''Peghelih''), also known by its honorific title Perlis Indera Kayangan, is the smallest state in Malaysia by area and population. Kedah

The expressway network consists of the northern route and southern route, having a total length of . Slim River Railway Station
The Slim River railway station is a Malaysian train station stationed at the north eastern side of and named after the town of Slim River, Muallim District, Perak. The station is owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu and provides KTM ETS services. Built in 1903, the original station is among the oldest of the railway stations in Malaysia. In March 2007, as part of the electrified double tracking project between Rawang and Ipoh, it was rebuilt, with the old station building being retained. At one end of this station, there is a freight yard. It was made prior to the Rawang-Ipoh Electrified Double Tracking Project. Proton City (Malay: ''Bandar Proton'') is a township with industrial, commercial and residential activities spread over 4,000 acres (16 km²) in Muallim District, Perak, Malaysia. It houses the RM1.8 billion Proton car assembly plant. Proton City aims to be fully developed by 2020. Undertaken by Proton City Development Corp, a joint venture between DRB-HICOM and Proton itself. A core member of Proton Holdings, it started in 1996 with an initial investment of RM2.5 billion, beginning with the construction of the Proton plant. Battle Of Slim River
The Battle of Slim River occurred during the Malayan campaign in January 1942 between the Imperial Japanese Army and the British Indian Army on the west coast of Malaya. Background Japanese forces had invaded north-west Malaya from southern Thailand on 11 December 1941 and eastern Malaya on 7 December at Kota Bharu. From Thailand they had driven relentlessly down the western coast of Malaya defeating all British attempts at stopping them. By Christmas Day the Japanese held all of north-west Malaya. One of the few moments where British troops managed to inflict any form of effective defense against Japanese tactics occurred near Kampar on the Dipang River.
