Less Than Jake is an American ska punk band from Gainesville, Florida, formed in 1992. The band consists of Chris DeMakes (guitars, vocals), Roger Lima (bass, vocals), Matt Yonker (drums), Buddy Schaub (trombone), and Peter "JR" Wasilewski (saxophone). The group released its debut album, ''Pezcore'', in 1995, following a series of independent seven-inch single releases. The band's subsequent two studio albums, ''Losing Streak'' (1996) and ''Hello Rockview'' (1998), were released on major label, Capitol Records, leading to increased exposure. ''Borders and Boundaries'' was released in 2000 on Fat Wreck Chords. Gainesville is the county seat of Alachua County, Florida, and the largest city in North Central Florida, with a population of 141,085 in 2020. Pezcore
''Pezcore'' is the debut full-length album released by the American ska punk band Less Than Jake. Release and legacy It was originally released on Dill Records in 1995 on CD and cassette. The album reissued on Asian Man in 1996 on CD only, but was missing two tracks found on the Dill version ("Jeffersons" and "Laverne and Shirley"). In October 2002, Less Than Jake released a tenth anniversary version of ''Pezcore'' to celebrate the band's 10 years of existence. Issued on Less Than Jake drummer Vinnie Fiorello's Fueled by Ramen label, the recordings were remixed and remastered. The band announced on January 5, 2008 that another reissue of ''Pezcore'' would be released on the band's label, Sleep It Off Records. ''Silver Linings'' is the ninth studio album by American ska punk band Less Than Jake, released on December 11, 2020. It is their first studio album in little more than seven years (their longest non-album gap), their first full-length release on Pure Noise Records and their first with new drummer Matt Yonker, who joined the band following founding member Vinnie Fiorello's departure in October 2018. Recorded in November and December 2019 and mixed in February 2020, the record was delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the music industry. ''Greetings & Salutations from Less Than Jake'' is a compilation album by American ska punk band Less Than Jake, released on October 15, 2012 in the UK and January 8, 2013 in the US.
