''GNV FLA'' is the seventh studio album by American rock band Less Than Jake, released on June 24, 2008 on their own label Sleep It Off Records. Following the poor reception to their sixth studio album ''In with the Out Crowd'' (2006), the band started writing material for its follow-up less than a year later. They set up Sleep It Off Records after leaving Sire Records and recorded their next album in March and April 2008. It was produced by both Matt Allison and the band's co-lead vocalist and bassist Roger Lima. ''GNV FLA'' is a ska punk and pop-punk album that recalls the sound of the band's third studio album, ''Hello Rockview'' (1999). ''Popaganda'' received generally favorable reviews from critics, many of whom praised the return to Less Than Jake's their earlier sound, while others complimented the songwriting. Less Than Jake is an American ska punk band from Gainesville, Florida, formed in 1992. The band consists of Chris DeMakes (guitars, vocals), Roger Lima (bass, vocals), Matt Yonker (drums), Buddy Schaub (trombone), and Peter "JR" Wasilewski (saxophone). The group released its debut album, ''Pezcore'', in 1995, following a series of independent seven-inch single releases. The band's subsequent two studio albums, ''Losing Streak'' (1996) and ''Hello Rockview'' (1998), were released on major label, Capitol Records, leading to increased exposure. Soundwave was an annual music festival held in major cities around Australia, run and promoted by Soundwave Touring. Howie Weinberg is an American audio mastering engineer with over 2,257 mastering credits, three TEC Awards, 21 Grammy Awards, two Juno Awards, and one Mercury Prize. Career Weinberg mastered Herbie Hancock's 1983 album ''Future Shock''. Other mastering works include the Beastie Boys' ''Licensed to Ill'' and Nirvana's ''Nevermind''. Weinberg began working in the mail room at Masterdisk in 1979, delivering recording tapes in New York City. Mastering engineer Bob Ludwig acted as his mentor. ''Ox-Fanzine'' is a monthly punk zine from Solingen, Germany, founded in 1988. It is edited by Joachim Hiller and has had many contributors. Besides its focus on punk subculture, it also covers similar genres, reviews of comics, books and films, and has included serial novels by authors such as Klaus N. Frick. By 2019, ''Ox'' had a circulation of 10,000 copies. History ''Ox-Fanzine'' was founded in 1988 by Joachim Hiller and Biggi Häußler in Heidenheim an der Brenz (Southern Germany). Its first issue was published in January 1989. The zine was named after the cat of Häußler, which appeared on the first cover.
