Slađa Delibašić
Slađana Delibašić ( sr-cyr, Слађана Делибашић; born November 7, 1968), also known as Slađa D., is a Serbian singer and dancer. Born in Kosovska Mitrovica and raised in New Belgrade from the age of 11, she gained popularity in the 90s alongside her then-husband, Đorđe Đogani, as members of the Europop and turbo-folk act Giogani Fantastico. Following their divorce in 2001, she pursued a solo career. Delibašić has released six solo albums to date under City Records. Some of her biggest hits include "Sedmi sprat" (2007), "Ajmo sad u provod" (2009), "5 minuta" and "Diesel Power" (2010). Delibašić and her than-partner, Igor Matić were also the runner-ups of the first season of the reality television show ''Parovi ''Parovi'' (English title: ''Couples'') is a Serbian-based reality show created by Predrag Ranković. Kosovska Mitrovica
Mitrovica ( sq-definite, Mitrovicë; sr-cyrl, Митровица) or Kosovska Mitrovica ( sr-cyrl, Косовска Митровица) is a city and municipality located in Kosovo. Settled on the banks of Ibar and Sitnica rivers, the city is the administrative center of the District of Mitrovica. In 2013, following the North Kosovo crisis, the Serb-majority municipality of North Mitrovica was created, dividing the city in two administrative units. According to the 2011 Census, in Mitrovica live 97,686 inhabitants, 85,360 of which in the southern municipality and 12,326 in North Mitrovica. Name The name of Mitrovica derives from the name ''Demetrius''. It was most probably named after the 8th century Byzantine church ''St. Demetrius'' which was built near Zvečan Fortress, just above the modern Mitrovica, in honor of Saint Demetrius of Thessaloniki. Turbo-folk
Turbo-folk (sometimes referred as pop-folk or popular folk) is subgenre of contemporary pop music with its origins in Serbia, that initially developed during the 1980s and 1990s, with similar music styles in Bulgaria (chalga), Romania (manele) and Albania (tallava). It is a fusion genre of popular music, blending Serbian folk music with other genres: such as pop, rock, electronic and some hip-hop. Background and characteristics Turbo-folk music emerged as a subculture in the countryside during the 1970s before migrating to the city in the '80s and eventually reaching further expansion in the '90s during the rule of Slobodan Milošević, Yugoslav Wars, inflation and political isolation. Kosovo Serbs are one of the ethnic groups of Kosovo. There are around 100,000 Kosovo Serbs as of 2014 and about half of them live in North Kosovo. Other Serb communities live in southern Kosovo. After Albanians, they form the largest ethnic community in Kosovo (4-7%). ''Parovi'' (English title: ''Couples'') is a Serbian-based reality show created by Predrag Ranković. The show premiered on December 24, 2010 on Happy and immediately reached huge ratings. It also features a 24-hour YouTube live streaming. Format Originally the format built on that all contestants were real-life couples, but over the next season, it was changed due to difficulties in looking for actual couples that may be part of the show. Over the next years, there were castings and people with long and interesting histories of their lives were chosen to participate in the show.
