Slayers Special
, also known as ''Slayers: Dragon Slave'', ''Slayers: Explosion Array'' and ''Slayers: The Book of Spells'' in North America, is a series of three comic fantasy themed OVA self-conclusive episodes adapted from the ''Slayers Special'' series of light-novels by Hajime Kanzaka, serving as a part of the prequel to the main ''Slayers'' saga. The three episodes were all directed by Hiroshi Watanabe and originally released separately in Japan in 1996-1997. Both ''Special'' and the second OVA series, 1998's ''Slayers Excellent'', were directed by Watanabe and share the same soundtrack (''Slayers The Motion Picture "S"''), although each series had their own production committees and has its own opening and ending themes. ''Animerica'' was a monthly magazine published by Viz Media containing news, feature articles, and reviews on manga, anime, and related media, as well as a section that serialized manga published by Viz. The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide. Toshikazu Shiozawa ( ja, 塩沢 敏一, Shiozawa Toshikazu, January 28, 1954 – May 10, 2000), better known by the stage name Kaneto Shiozawa ( ja, 塩沢 兼人, Shiozawa Kaneto), was a Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator from Tokyo. At the time of his death, he was attached to Aoni Production.
