Slay Duggee
Slay Duggee is an English heavy metal band for children. They play 'My First Metal Gig' concerts to give kids their first experience of live heavy metal music. History Slay Duggee formed in January 2018 to release a heavy metal version of " The Stick Song" from "The Stick Badge" episode of '' Hey Duggee''. The Slay Duggee version was released within 48 hours of the original being broadcast, and was featured on UK radio shortly afterwards. DJ Steve Lamacq, of BBC Radio 6 Music, has described them as "the Lords of Toddler Metal". In 2018, Slay Duggee collaborated with guitarist James Monteith from Tesseract, and singer Nicky “Scorpion” Calonne from Nekrogoblikon, on a cover version of "Everything Is Awesome" from '' The Lego Movie''. In the same year, Slay Duggee released a Christmas single "Walking in the Air" with singer Daniel Tompkins from Tesseract. Hey Duggee
''Hey Duggee'' is a British animated educational preschool television series aimed at two to five year olds. Created by Grant Orchard, it is produced by Studio AKA, in association with BBC Studios (formerly BBC Worldwide). The show is narrated by Alexander Armstrong. The programme's characters are talking anthropomorphic animals, with Duggee communicating in woofs. The episodes are based around The Squirrel Club, an activity club for children that Duggee leads. The childrenthe club's Squirrelstake part in all kinds of activities, have adventures and earn badges for their accomplishments. Each episode shows the Squirrels completing an activity or adventure relating to a badge that they earn at the end of each episode. Stephen Paul Lamacq (born 16 October 1964), sometimes known by his nickname Lammo (given to him by John Peel), is an English disc jockey, currently working with the BBC radio station BBC Radio 6 Music. Early life He attended The Ramsey Academy from 1976, which had been formed the previous year from two grammar schools. He was brought up in the Essex village of Colne Engaine. Early career He cites Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's "wonderful" 1979 single "Electricity" as his inspiration to become a disc jockey, noting that he wanted to afford air time to similar, "curious" music.
