Slavik Vlado Jablan
Slavik Vlado Jablan ( sr, Славик Владо Јаблан; 10June 1952 – 26February 2015) was a Serbian mathematician and crystallographer. Jablan is known for his contributions to antisymmetry, knot theory, the theory of symmetry and ornament, and ethnomathematics. Career Jablan was born on 10 June 1952 in Sarajevo. Jablan graduated in mathematics from the University of Belgrade (1977), where he also gained his M.A. degree (1981) and Ph.D. degree (1984) with the dissertation ''Theory of Simple and Multiple Antisymmetry in E2 and E2\''. He was a Fulbright scholar in 2003/4. Jablan was a professor of geometry at the University of Niš until 1999; subsequently he was a researcher at the Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The University of Belgrade ( sr, / ) is a public university in Serbia. It is the oldest and largest modern university in Serbia. Founded in 1808 as the Belgrade Higher School in revolutionary Serbia, by 1838 it merged with the Kragujevac-based departments into a single university. The On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (OEIS) is an online database of integer sequences. It was created and maintained by Neil Sloane while researching at AT&T Labs. Polychromatic Symmetry
Polychromatic symmetry is a colour symmetry which interchanges three or more colours in a symmetrical pattern. It is a natural extension of dichromatic symmetry. The coloured symmetry groups are derived by adding to the position coordinates (''x'' and ''y'' in two dimensions, ''x'','' y'' and ''z'' in three dimensions) an extra coordinate, ''k'', which takes three or more possible values (colours). An example of an application of polychromatic symmetry is crystals of substances containing molecules or ions in triplet states, that is with an electronic spin of magnitude 1, should sometimes have structures in which the spins of these groups have projections of + 1, 0 and -1 onto local magnetic fields.
