Skotfoss TIF
Skotfoss Turn- og Idrettsforening is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Skotfoss, Skien, Telemark. It has sections for association football, gymnastics and Nordic skiing. The club was founded on 29 December 1899. The club colours are white with red, white and blue. The men's football team was contesting the 2017 4. divisjon until pulling its team from competition. It was formerly a staple in the 3. divisjon, with a presence for most of the 1990s until 1998, and from 2001 through 2010 with a last appearance in 2012. Skotfoss
Skotfoss is a village in Skien municipality, Norway, located where lake Norsjø feeds into the Skien Watershed. The village has a population of 1,700 people. Skotfoss was a part of Solum municipality until the municipalities of Solum and Skien were merged on January 1, 1964. Skotfoss was built up around the waterfall and its associated industry. Skottfoss used to be home to one of North Europe's biggest paper factories, Skotfoss Bruk. Paper from the factory was exported around the world. The factory closed in 1986. Tor Arne Sannerholt
Tor Arne Sannerholt (born 12 December 1967) is a retired Norwegian football midfielder and later manager. Growing up in the club Skotfoss, he moved to Odd as a junior player, helped win the 1985 Norwegian Junior Cup and was also drafted into the first team. After three seasons in Odd he was bought by Kongsvinger. Here he played a majority of the games in 1989 and 1990, but few in 1991. He had a row with manager Svein Ivar Sigernes and returned to a long spell in Odd. He was loaned by Strømsgodset in 1995 to secure promotion from the 1995 1. divisjon, and later made a permanent transfer in 1998. During both spells, he commuted by car between Skien and Drammen. Sannerholt has admitted to smoking eight cigarettes on each car ride, and commented on his lack of professionalism at the time. Frode Johnsen
Frode Johnsen (born 17 March 1974) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played for Odd and Rosenborg in the Tippeligaen and for Nagoya Grampus and Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan. He played in several positions, but was preferred as a striker or midfielder. Johnsen is 188 cm tall, and was a good header of the ball. In his final season for Odds BK in 2015, Johnsen won the Kniksen's Honour Award for his long career as a footballer. He retired in the age of 41. In 2013, he became the topscorer in Tippeligaen, which also made him the oldest topscorer in a European league ever. Nordic Skiing
Nordic skiing encompasses the various types of skiing in which the toe of the ski boot is fixed to the Ski binding, binding in a manner that allows the heel to rise off the ski, unlike alpine skiing, where the boot is attached to the ski from toe to heel. Recreational disciplines include cross-country skiing and Telemark skiing.
