Ski Jumping At The 2014 Winter Olympics
Ski jumping at the 2014 Winter Olympics was held at the RusSki Gorki Jumping Center, Krasnaya Polyana, Russia. The events were held between 8 and 17 February 2014. Women competed in ski jumping for the first time in the history of Winter Olympic Games. A total of four ski jumping events were held. The RusSki Gorki Jumping Center is a ski jumping venue located in the Esto-Sadok village on the northern slope of Aibga Ridge in Krasnaya Polyana, Russia. is a Japanese ski jumper. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz ( Iraschko; born 21 November 1983) is an Austrian ski jumper and footballer. Thomas Diethart (born 25 February 1992) is an Austrian former ski jumper who won the 2014 Four Hills Tournament. Career Diethart's debut in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup took place in January 2011 in Innsbruck. He won his first podium, a third place, in Oberstdorf in 2013. His first world cup win took place just a few days later in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, when he won against his teammate Thomas Morgenstern and the Swiss Simon Ammann. Michael "Michi" Hayböck (; born 5 March 1991) is an Austrian ski jumper. Career He took his first World Cup win on 6 January 2015 in Bischofshofen in the final event of the Four Hills Tournament 2014/15. He is a junior world champion from Hinterzarten 2010. Severin Freund (born 11 May 1988) is a German former ski jumper and current TV expert. He competed at World Cup level from 2008 to 2022, and is one of the most successful ski jumpers from Germany, having won the overall World Cup title in 2015, and scoring 22 individual World Cup wins.
