"Skeleton Boy" is the third single by Friendly Fires taken from the band's self-titled debut album ''Friendly Fires''. It was released on 2 March 2009 in the UK and 1 March 2009 in the United States. This version of the song was produced by Paul Epworth and was used in the promotional video for the song. This version is different from the version on the album that was produced by singer Ed Macfarlane, in that it is 30 seconds longer than the original version and features an extended instrumental bridge. Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires are an English indie rock band from St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. They are currently signed to XL Recordings. Their self-titled debut album was released on 1 September 2008, and was announced as one of the shortlisted twelve for the 2009 Mercury Prize on 21 July 2009. History Friendly Fires met at St Albans School. At the age of 13, in year eight and nine (the second or third year), the members formed their first band, a post-hardcore outfit called First Day Back, covering songs by Green Day and other rock-like artists, which existed until they began university. During this time, lead singer Ed Macfarlane released his own music (under his own name) through the electronica label Skam, and Precinct Recordings. ''Friendly Fires'' is the debut album from British band Friendly Fires. It was released in the UK on 1 September 2008 where it reached a peak of number 21 on the UK Albums Chart. All tracks were produced by Ed Macfarlane apart from the first track, "Jump in the Pool", which was produced by Paul Epworth. The album was re-released on 31 August 2009 with the addition of five highly sought after remixes of the album's original tracks, plus three new tracks: "Bored of Each Other", "Relationships" and " Kiss of Life", the latter of which was also produced by Paul Epworth. Paul Epworth
Paul Richard Epworth (born 25 July 1974) is an English record producer, songwriter, musician, and remixer. He has worked with artists including Adele, Florence and the Machine, Rihanna, and Maxïmo Park, among many others. He is a member of the Music Producers Guild and is the founder and owner of the independent record label Wolf Tone, which has released music from Glass Animals, Rosie Lowe, and The Horrors. Epworth has won the BRIT Award for Producer of the Year three times, the most recent in 2015. He has won seven Grammy Awards, as well as the Academy Award for Best Original Song for " Skyfall".
