Skejby
Skejby is a neighbourhood and former village in Aarhus, Denmark. The neighbourhood is part of the city district Aarhus N. The Skejby village was originally situated in the countryside north of Aarhus, overlooking the broad flat Egå Valley, but urban development has engulfed it, creating a new suburban neighbourhood by the same name. The old village is still distinctly visible, surrounding the old white village church. Archaeological excavations have revealed, that Skejby has been settled since the early Iron Ages (c. 500 BC), but finds from the Stone Age has also been unearthed. Søften and Lisbjerg north of Skejby, are important archaeological sites. Aarhus N is a postal district in the city of Aarhus, consisting of Trøjborg, Risskov, Vejlby, Skejby, Vorrevangen and Christiansbjerg, all with postal code 8200. Aarhus N is an abbreviation for Aarhus Nord (lit. "Aarhus North") and is located north of the city centre. It is the highest lying area of Aarhus. INCUBA Science Park
INCUBA Science Park is a research park in Aarhus, Denmark with four departments in Skejby, Katrinebjerg, Aarhus University and Aarhus Docklands. INCUBA was created as a merger of three former research institutions in 2007, and is an amalgamation of "Innovation Network Centre for University and Businesses of Aarhus" and the primary goals of the institution are to strengthen cooperation between research institutions and companies with consultancy and by raising capital for projects. The park is the first of its kind in Denmark. Business Park Skejby is a large business park in the northern district of Aarhus N, in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. Business Park Skejby was officially created in 2013 and stretches north from the neighbourhood of Christiansbjerg to Skejby, bounded by the major roads of Ring 2 and Randersvej. TV 2/Østjylland is one of eight regional TV-stations in the TV 2 (Denmark), TV 2 network in Denmark. The station was founded in 1990, and the first news broadcast was made on 1 April the same year. Vestereng
Vestereng is a nature site in the environs of northern Aarhus and the suburb of Skejby. The name literally translates as 'westward meadow'. The Municipality of Aarhus took ownership in 1939. The area has a lively history of recent times and is now used extensively by several civil groups and organizations. The most prevalent groups as of 2013, being Aarhus Beach Volley Club, the roleplaying club Einherjerne, Aarhus Dirt Jump Park and Aarhus civil dog handling Association. History Vestereng was used by the German occupational forces as ammunition storage for the Kriegsmarine during the Second World War. Aarhus Municipality ( da, Aarhus Kommune), known as Århus Municipality ( da, Århus Kommune) until 2011, is a municipality in Central Denmark Region, on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark.
