History Nitish Kumar resigned on 26 July 2017 as Chief Minister of Bihar over differences with the coalition partner RJD due to naming of Tejashwi Yadav, the Deputy Chief Minister and Lalu's son in an FIR by the CBI. Hours later, he joined the NDA which had thus far been the opposition, and secured a majority in the Assembly, taking the Chief Minister-ship once again on the very next day. Bihar
Bihar (; ) is a state in eastern India. It is the 2nd largest state by population in 2019, 12th largest by area of , and 14th largest by GDP in 2021. National Democratic Alliance (India)
National Democratic Alliance (NDA) () is a centre-right to right-wing and conservative Indian big tent political alliance led by the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded in 1998 and currently controls the government of India as well as the government of 15 Indian states, and 1 Union Territories. Its first chairman was Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. L. K. Nand Kishore Yadav
Nand Kishore Yadav (born 26 August 1953) is an Indian politician, former cabinet minister for road construction and health in the Government of Bihar. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He is a senior BJP leader who joined, as minister, the Bihar Government after the split of the Mahagathbandhan and parting of ways between Lalu's RJD and Nitish Kumar's JDU in June 2013.
