Barrie Tornado
The Barrie Lakeshores are Junior "A" box lacrosse team from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. The Lakeshores play in the OLA Junior A Lacrosse League. History Founded in 2000 as an Ontario Jr. B lacrosse team, the Barrie Tornado were named after the deadly 1985 United States-Canadian tornado outbreak, 1985 tornado that put the Canadian City on the map. The 2000 season, their first season, was a good start but nothing special. Since then, the Tornado have never slipped below a .500 record. Between 2000 and 2003, the team got progressively better. In 2000, they started out with a 5-15-0 record. The next season, the Tornado performed much better with an even 10-10-0 record, making the playoffs. Despite the 1999-2000 name change, the team has always played out of Georgetown. The Bulldogs first four seasons were mediocre at best and their fifth season was horrible. The 1999 season (0-21-0), although terrible served as a catalyst for turning Halton into a winning lacrosse team. The 2000 season turned out to be an excellent turnaround for the team. The Elora Mohawks are Junior "B" box lacrosse team from Elora, Ontario, Canada. The Mohawks play in the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League. History Probably founded in the 1960s, the Mohawks started out as the Fergus Thistles. In 1963, the team moved to become the Guelph Mohawks. In 1967 the team moved to Elora, Ontario and won the Canadian Castrol Cup in that year. Wallaceburg Red Devils
The Wallaceburg Red Devils are Junior "B" box lacrosse team from Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada. The Red Devils play in the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League and were 2001 Founders Cup National Champions. History The Wallaceburg Red Devils played their first season in the Summer of 1998. At times, the Red Devils played some of their home games in the nearby Town of Walpole Island, Ontario. Eventually they moved full time into the town of Wallaceburg. 2001 season The Red Devils are best known for coming out of nowhere in 2001 to win the Founders Cup National title. In 2001, the Red Devils were a true sleeper. After their first three season, Wallaceburg was developing quite well as a lacrosse team but showed no real threat towards winning any championships. The Coquitlam Adanacs are a Canadian box lacrosse team based in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The Adanacs play in B.C.'s seven team Western Lacrosse Association (WLA), whose champion competes against Ontario's Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The Adanacs originally started as a basketball team during the 1920s in New Westminster. The team expanded to lacrosse and played as the Adanacs until 1951. In 1965, a new Coquitlam Adanacs lacrosse team was formed by old Adanac players, and won the Mann Cup in 2001. The Adanacs play their home games at the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex. The St. Clair Fratmen are a Canadian football team based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The team has played in the Canadian Junior Football League's Ontario Football Conference since the 1940s and won national titles in 1952, 1954, and 1999. The team was known as the Windsor AKO Fratmen until 2020 when the team was purchased by St. Clair College's Student Athletic Association.
