''Sivasakthi'' is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language crime film directed by Suresh Krissna. The film stars Sathyaraj, Prabhu and Rambha. The film, was produced by M. G. Sekar and S. Santhanam, had musical score by Deva and was released on 6 September 1996 and became a box office failure and received mostly negative reviews. The films was dubbed in Telugu under the same title. It is loosely a remake of the Hindi movie '' Agneepath''. Plot Marc Zuber Antony, alias Tony (Mahesh Anand), an international smuggler, ended up on an isolated island after killing some navy officers. He decided to hide his merchandises there, and he threatened the people of the island. In the process, Tony killed the island's school teacher (Girish Karnad) in front of his wife, his son Siva and his daughter Priya. Many years later, Siva (Sathyaraj) becomes a rich man in the city and lives with his sister Priya ( Rambha) and his mother ( Sujatha). Suresh Krissna
Suresh Krissna (born 25 June 1959) is an Indian film director who has directed Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi Language films. His first independent film as a director was '' Sathya'' (1988), with Kamal Haasan. He is well known for having directed Rajinikanth in four films which include, '' Annamalai'' (1992), '' Veera'' (1994), ''Baashha'' (1995) and '' Baba'' (2002). In the 1990s, he has also directed other major superstars including Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan. Early life and career Suresh was born to R. Krishna and K. Sharada in Bombay. He has two brothers, Sreeram and Satheesh, and one sister, actress Shanthi Krishna. He spent his early career in Mumbai. After completing his graduation in economics he joined the Mumbai office of L.
