Sitara (1980 Film)
''Sitara'' () is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Meraj, with Mithun Chakraborty, Zarina Wahab. The music was composed by R. D. Burman. The film was a remake of the Telugu film ''Seetamalakshmi''. Plot Sitara is the love story of two childhood lovers, Dhania and Kundan. They come to Bombay, due to their economic conditions and they start working in a Cinema hall. Dhania is fascinated by films and has hidden desire to become an actress, so she often imitates the dances shown on movies. One day Dhania plays the record of the songs and starts dancing, assuming herself as the heroine of the film. Mithun Chakraborty
Mithun Chakraborty (born Gouranga Chakraborty; 16 June 1950) is an Indian actor, producer and politician who predominantly worked in Hindi and Bengali language films. He is a former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament. He is the recipient of three National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards for his acting performance. Chakraborty made his acting debut with the art house drama ''Mrigayaa'' (1976), for which he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor. Mohan Makijany (24 April 1938 – 10 May 2010), popularly known as Mac Mohan, was an Indian actor, who worked in Hindi cinema. He was known for his villainous roles in films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Bhupinder Singh (born Bhupinder Soin, 6 February 1940 – 18 July 2022) was an Indian musician, a ghazal singer and also a Bollywood playback singer. Early life Bhupinder Singh was born in Amritsar, Punjab to Natha Singhji, a musician and his introducer to music. Bhupinder's father was a stern teacher, and at one point, he detested music and its instruments. Music career Singh started his career as a casual artist for All India Radio under the direction of Satish Bhatia. He also worked at Doordarshan Center, New Delhi. He also learnt guitar.
