Sisterella
''Sisterella'' is a musical, presented and produced by Michael Jackson with Miramax Films in association with Tribeca. Music, lyrics and book are by Larry Hart. The original choreographer was Ramon Del Barrio. The musical has been described as a "spoofy Cinderella-based African-American musical." It was originally planned for a Broadway run in the fall of 1997. The show sold out its March to April 1996 original run at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California. It toured the United States, Europe and Australia. Hart created the book and the music with the reader workshops at the New York's Musical Theatre Works, which did the workshops on Disney's ''Beauty and the Beast''. Wanda Houston is an American singer and actress. Biography Houston is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She started singing in gospel choirs of West Side, Chicago. She was born to John and Bessie, the oldest of four. Houston comes from a creative family. Her father was an actor, and her mother was both an actress and a singer. Her father ran a theatre company. Houston studied chemistry in college, but eventually switched to music, getting her degree in music with a focus on opera. After college she ended up in Los Angeles, spending two decades there. Tina Marie Cross (born 27 January 1959) is a New Zealand singer. She sang the winning entry in the 1979 Pacific Song Contest, and was the lead vocalist of synthpop band, Koo De Tah, whose single " Too Young for Promises" was a top ten hit in Australia in 1985.
