''Sishya'' is a 1997 Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Selva. The film stars Karthik and Roshini. The film was produced by Tharangai V. Sunder and had musical scores by Deva. Plot Shruti ( Roshini), the daughter of a minister, flees to Chennai from Delhi where she falls in love with Aravindan ( Karthik). But fate separates the couple when the C.B.I ( Nizhalgal Ravi) finds her and sends her back to Delhi. Selva (floruit, fl. 1990s) is an Indian director active in Tamil film. He often specializes in film remakes and directed a series of hits the 1990s. His first film ''Thalaivasal (film), Thalaivasal'' launched the career of many. His noted film are ''Amaravathi (1993 film), Amaravathi'', ''Karnaa'', ''Pooveli'', ''James Pandu'', ''Unnaruge Naan Irundhal'', ''Student Number 1'' and ''Naan Avanillai (2007 film), Naan Avanillai''. Vichu Vishwanath
Vichu Vishwanath is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films and serials. He has worked in comedy and supporting roles, often associating with director Sundar C. Career Vichu Vishwanath was born in Coimbatore, India and attended RK Sreerangammal Kalvi Nilayam Higher Secondary School in the city. Vichu is married to Hemalatha, and has a daughter, Kokila. He made his acting debut in the film, ''Sandhana Kaatru'' (1990) and portrayed a villainous character alongside Sarathkumar and Vijay Krishnaraj. During the making of the film, he became acquainted with Sundar C, who was an assistant director in the film. Swarnalatha (29 April 1973 – 12 September 2010) was an Indian playback singer. She is considered to be as Humming Queen Of India and Nightingale Of Tamil Cinema.
