Jon Siren
Jon Siren (born May 4, 1978) is an American musician and the co-founder and drummer of the band Mankind Is Obsolete. He has been a drummer or keyboardist in many other industrial bands, including Psyclon Nine, Dismantled, and System Syn. Since 2015, he has been mostly associated as the touring drummer for IAMX. Early life Siren grew up in Columbus, Ohio and developed an early love of music in the time of MTV. His first performance instruments were guitar and bass before taking on the drums in his late teens. Early musical projects When in Columbus, Siren played in local grindcore and punk bands such as Medium and Inept in his teens in the mid-to-late '90s. While living in New York City in his early 20s, he met Kevorkian Death Cycle, who were interested in taking him on as their new drummer. Kaija Siren
Katri (Kaija) Anna-Maija Helena Siren (née Tuominen; October 23, 1920 in Kotka – January 15, 2001) was a Finnish architect. She graduated as an architect from the Helsinki University of Technology in 1948. Siren designed most of her works together with her spouse to another Finnish architect, Heikki Siren. She and her husband Heikki Siren set up their own architectural office in 1949. The Sirens worked together as architects their entire life. The Otaniemi Chapel is noted for its delicate balance between features of Finnish rural architecture and a modernism, influenced by Alvar Aalto's redbrick period of the 1950s. Their later work is noted for its monumentality. She is buried in the Hietaniemi Cemetery in Helsinki. Osvald Sirén
Osvald Sirén (6 April 1879 – 26 June 1966) was a Finnish-born Swedish art historian, whose interests included the art of 18th century Sweden, Renaissance Italy and China. Biography Sirén was born in Helsinki. He held the J.A. Berg Professorship of the History and Theory of Art at the University of Stockholm 1908-1923 and was Keeper of painting and sculpture at Nationalmuseum 1928–1945. He died in Stockholm, aged 87. In the area of Chinese art, his major books include ''Gardens of China'', ''China and Gardens of Europe of the 18th century'', ''Chinese Painting: Leading Masters and Principles'', and ''The Walls and Gates of Peking'' (1924). Sirén was an early member of the theosophist movement. In 1956, he was awarded the Charles Lang Freer Medal.
