Sir Matthew Deane, 3rd Baronet
Sir Matthew Deane, 3rd Baronet (c. 1680 – 11 March 1747) was an Irish baronet and politician. He was the son of Sir Robert Deane, 2nd Baronet of Muskerry and Springfield Castle, Co. Limerick by his wife Anne Brettridge, one of the three daughters and co-heiresses of Captain Roger Brettridge (1630-1683) of Castles Brettridge, Cope and Magner, Co. Cork and his wife Jane Hakby. Another source has his wife as Anne Bettridge, daughter of Colonel William Bettridge. He succeeded to the baronetcy in 1712. He served as High Sheriff of County Cork for 1714 and sat in the Irish House of Commons for Charleville from 1713 to 1715. He was again a Member of Parliament (MP) for County Cork from 1728 until his death in 1747. Deane married Jane Sharpe, only daughter of Reverend William Sharpe. Arthur Mastick Hyde (July 12, 1877October 17, 1947) was an American Republican politician, who served as the 35th governor of Missouri from 1921 to 1925, and as the United States Secretary of Agriculture for President Herbert Hoover from 1929 to 1933. St John Brodrick (died 1728)
The Honourable St John Brodrick (c. 1685 – 21 February 1728), was an Anglo-Irish politician who sat in the Irish House of Commons from 1709 to 1728 and in the British House of Commons from 1721 to 1727. Brodrick was a son of Alan Brodrick, 1st Viscount Midleton and brother of Alan Brodrick, 2nd Viscount Midleton; his mother was his father's first wife, Catherine Barry, daughter of Redmond Barry of Rathcormac. He predeceased his father by some months. Broderick represented Castlemartyr in the Irish House of Commons from 1709 to 1713, the City of Cork from 1713 to 1715 and then the County of Cork from 1715 to his death. Henry Boyle, 1st Earl of Shannon, PC (1682 – 28 December 1764), was an Anglo-Irish politician and peer who served as the speaker of the Irish House of Commons from 1733 to 1756. A prominent parliamentarian who sat for almost fifty years in the Parliament of Ireland, Boyle frequently defended Irish interests against British officials, eventually leading to a legal crisis which saw him step down as speaker in return for a peerage.
