''Sipaayi'' is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language masala film written and directed by Rajath Mayee in his directorial debut. The film stars debutant Siddharth Mahesh (who also produced the film), Sruthi Hariharan, Sanchari Vijay, Achyuth Kumar, Gaurish Akki, Krishna Hebbale and Bharath Singh. Premise Siddharth is a news reporter, whose aim is to fight against illegal trading activities in Bangalore, but his plans are thwarted by a crime boss Virat, where he along with his friends Divya and Manju sets out to expose and bring Virat to justice. Sruthi Hariharan (born 2 February 1989) is an Indian actress and producer who appears primarily in Kannada language films. She debuted in a 2012 Malayalam film, '' Cinema Company'', and her first film in the Kannada cinema industry was '' Lucia''. Shruthi received Special Mention Award at the 66th National Film Awards for her performance in the film Nathicharami. Chethan Kumar is an Indian filmmaker, lyrics writer, screenwriter, dialogue writer and director who primarily works in Kannada cinema. His debut directional venture was the 2014 film '' Bahaddur''. Career Kumar stepped into film industry unexpectedly. He was writing dialogues for theatre plays in Kalamandir, Mysore through one of his friend he learned of Tushar Ranganath. Vijay Kumar Basavarajaiah (17 July 1983 – 15 June 2021), known by his stage name Sanchari Vijay, was an Indian actor known for his work in Kannada cinema. He began his career as a stage actor.
