Singireddy Niranjan Reddy (born 4 October 1958) is an Indian politician serving as the Minister of Agriculture, Co-operation and Marketing of Telangana since 2019. He represents Wanaparthy constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. He is the member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi politburo. Early life He was born in Wanaparthy District in Telangana to Ram Reddy, a farmer. He did his B.Sc and LLB from Osmania University. Career Niranjan Reddy was a practicing lawyer before joining TRS party as a founding member in 2001. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy Parige is an Indian politician who is the current and 2nd Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from 17 January 2019 and Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Banswada constituency. He was the Minister of Agriculture (2014-2019) in the government of Telangana. Career Reddy joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1984 from the Indian National Congress (INC). He worked as a minister twice in TDP government. He was with TDP for 27 years before quitting. In 1994, he contested the Banswada constituency as a TDP candidate and won with a majority of over 57,000 votes. He lost in 2004 against Bajireddy Govardhan, the INC candidate. Wanaparthy is a town of Wanaparthy district of Telangana, India. The first polytechnic college (KDR Government Polytechnic) in Telangana started in Wanaparthy. It is located 149 km from the state capital Hyderabad. History Wanaparthy was governed by a feudal ruler, Rameshwar Rao II is visiting Raja of Wanaparthy in 2008, who was a vassal of the Nizam of Hyderabad. Wanaparthy was one of the 14 major Zamindari segments in Telangana in Post-Independent India. Raja died on 22 November 1922.
