Shashidhar Adapa
Shashidhar Adapa (born 1 September 1955) is an Indian production designer, set designer and puppet designer, known predominantly for his work in Kannada cinema. In 1984, he formed Prathiroopi, a television, film, and stage set design company. In his career spanning over 30 years, Adapa has worked with theatre personalities such as B. V. Karanth, Shankar Nag, M. S. Sathyu, C. G. Krishnaswamy, B. Jayashree, Prakash Belawadi, and filmmakers T. S. Nagabharana, Girish Karnad, Girish Kasaravalli, T. N. Seetharam, Mani Ratnam and Yogaraj Bhat. He has worked in over 45 Kannada films, in addition to Tamil, Hindi and French films. He is a four-time recipient of Karnataka State Film Award for Best Art Direction and in 2004, was awarded the Chaman Lal Memorial Award for his "outstanding contribution to stagecraft". Neravanda Chetticha Prema is an Indian actress known for her work predominantly in Kannada , Telugu and few Tamil and Malayalam language films. She has appeared in many commercially successful and critically acclaimed feature films. She was a leading Kannada actress at the turn of the century and has received the Karnataka State Film Award and Filmfare Best Actress awards for her performances in Kannada films. Chandrashekhara Kambara
Chandrashekhara Kambara ( kn, ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ ಕಂಬಾರ; born 2 January 1937) is a prominent Indian poet, playwright, folklorist, film director in Kannada language and the founder-vice-chancellor of Kannada University in Hampi also president of the Sahitya Akademi, country's premier literary institution, after Vinayak Krishna Gokak (1983) and U.R. Ananthamurthy (1993). He is known for effective adaptation of the North Karnataka dialect of the Kannada language in his plays, and poems, in a similar style as in the works of D.R. Bendre. Kambara's plays mainly revolve around folk or mythology interlinked with contemporary issues, inculcating modern lifestyle with his hard-hitting poems. He has become a pioneer of such literature. The National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the organization set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. Karnataka State Film Awards are the most notable and prestigious film awards given for Kannada film industry in Karnataka, India. These are considered the highest awards for Kannada language films. They are given annually by the Government of Karnataka to honor the best talent and to provide encouragement and incentive to the Kannada film industry.
