The Sines Tecnopolo is a Portugal, Portuguese science park headquartered in Sines, Portugal, Sines. It is linked with two public universities (''Universidade do Algarve'' and ''Universidade de Évora''), two public polytechnic (Portugal), polytechnics (''Instituto Politécnico de Beja'' and ''Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal'') and the Sines Municipality. Sines holds an important oil refinery and several petrochemical industries. It is also a popular beach spot and the main fishing harbor of Alentejo region. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students.
