Sindi Simtowe
Sindi Simtowe (born 27 July 1987) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi national netball team, Malawi in the positions of goal attack or goal shooter. Sindi Simtowe has featured in three consecutive World Cup tournaments for Malawi in 2011 World Netball Championships, 2011, 2015 Netball World Cup, 2015 and in 2019 Netball World Cup, 2019. She has also represented Malawi at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 Commonwealth Games, 2010, 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 and in 2018 Commonwealth Games, 2018. She was also a key member of the Malawian team which clinched historic bronze medal at the 2016 Fast5 Netball World Series in Melbourne, defeating England national netball team, England in the third place playoff. Karonga
Karonga is a township in the Karonga District in Northern Region of Malawi. Located on the western shore of Lake Nyasa, it was established as a slaving centre sometime before 1877. As of 2018 estimates, Karonga has a population of 61,609. The England national women's netball team, also known as the ''Vitality Roses'', represent England in international netball competition. England are coached by Jess Thirlby, and are currently captained by Natalie Metcalf. As of 1 July 2020, the team is ranked third in the INF World Rankings. 2018 Commonwealth Games
The 2018 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXI Commonwealth Games and also known as Gold Coast 2018, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth that were held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, between 4 and 15 April 2018. It was the fifth time Australia had hosted the Commonwealth Games and the first time a major multi-sport had an equal number of events for male and female athletes. 4,426 athletes including 300 para-athletes from 71 Commonwealth Games Associations took part in the event.
