Simone Tempestini
Simone Tempestini (born 12 August 1994) is a Romanian rally driver. He won the 2016 Junior World Rally Championship with the Romanian team Napoca Rally Academy and the Romanian Rally Championship in 2015, 2016, and 2018. Short biography Tempestini made his competition debut in 2009. He won the 2015 and 2016 Romanian Rally Championship driving a Ford Fiesta R5 (and a Citroën DS3 R3T Max, in the last round of 2016) for the Napoca Rally Academy team, followed by another two champion titles, in 2018 and 2019. Tempestini won both the 2016 JWRC and the WRC 3 categories of the World Rally Championship, driving for the same team. As part of his prize, he competes in the 2017 World Rally Championship-2 driving a Citroën DS3 R5. He stated that he feels "100% Romanian" although he is the son of the Romanian-Italian driver Marco Tempestini. The 2013 Rally de Portugal was the fourth round of the 2013 World Rally Championship season. The event was based in Faro, Portugal, and started on 11 April and was concluded on 14 April after fifteen special stages, totaling 387 competitive kilometres, including a street stage in Lisbon on 12 April. The 2014 Rally Sweden was a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over four days between 5 and 8 February, which marked the 62nd running of the Rally Sweden. The rally was based in the town of Karlstad and was contested over 24 special stages, covering a total of in competitive stages. The event was won by Finland's Jari-Matti Latvala of the Volkswagen Motorsport team, taking his third victory in Sweden, and the ninth victory of his WRC career. He finished 53.6 seconds clear of his teammate Andreas Mikkelsen – taking his best WRC finish – while the podium was completed by Mads Østberg, a further 5.9 seconds in arrears. The 2014 Monte Carlo Rally (formally known as the 82ème Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo) is a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over three days between 14 and 18 January 2014.
