Simone Scozzari
Simone "Sam" Scozzari (January 7, 1900 – 1980s) was a Sicilian mobster and a member of the American Mafia in Los Angeles. He served as a soldier in the Los Angeles crime family during the 1940s and 1950s. When Frank DeSimone became boss of the L.A. crime family in 1956, he promoted Scozzari underboss. Scozzari was born on January 7, 1900, in the city of Palermo in Sicily to Salvatore and Rosa Scozzari. He had one brother Frank, and two sisters, Anna and Josephine. He entered the United States illegally in 1923 and eventually made his way west to Los Angeles. His residence while in California was 3056 Sullivan Avenue in Rosemead, California. During his time in Los Angeles, he was arrested several times for illegal bookmaking and once for obstruction of justice. Nick "Old Man" Licata (born Nicolò Licata; ; February 20, 1897 - October 19, 1974) was an Italian American mobster who was the Boss of the Los Angeles crime family from 1967 until his death in 1974. Early life Licata was born on February 20, 1897 in the small Italian town of Camporeale, in Sicily (although his surname may suggest family origins in Licata). He was the son of Calogero and Vita, and had six brothers and two sisters. According to his records at Ellis Island, he boarded the Sant' Anna in Palermo at age 16 with $25. On December 5, 1913, Licata arrived in the United States and joined his brother Leonardo in Brooklyn. He later legally anglicised his first name to "Nick". During the 1920s Licata became involved in bootlegging in Detroit during the prohibition era. He eventually became a made man in the Detroit crime family. Momo Adamo
Girolomo "Momo" Adamo (1895–1956) was an Italian American mobster in the American Mafia. He lived in Chicago and Kansas City before moving to Los Angeles in the 1930s and soon became underboss to Jack Dragna in the Los Angeles crime family. His brother Joseph Adamo was also a member of the crime family. Both he and his brother were well connected criminals in San Diego, working with such mobsters as Frank Bompensiero and Jimmy (The Weasel) Fratianno. A cashier's check (or cashier's cheque, cashier's order) is a check guaranteed by a bank, drawn on the bank's own funds and signed by a cashier. Cashier's checks are treated as guaranteed funds because the bank, rather than the purchaser, is responsible for paying the amount. They are commonly required for real estate and brokerage transactions. Genuine cashier's checks deposited into a bank account are usually cleared the next day. Meyer Harris "Mickey" Cohen (September 4, 1913 – July 29, 1976) was an American gangster, boxer and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles during the mid-20th century. Early life Mickey Cohen was born on September 4, 1913, in New York City to Jewish parents. Cohen's parents immigrated to the USA from Kyiv. He was first raised in New York City, moving with his mother and siblings to the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles at an early age.
