Simone Kleinsma
Simone Kleinsma (born 8 May 1958) is a musical theatre actress in the Netherlands. Personal life On 5 June 1990, Simone married Guus Verstraete, a Dutch television director. Career Simone provided voice over work to numerous major animated films; including The Fairy Godmother in ''Shrek 2'', Yzma in ''The Emperor's New Groove'', Esmé Holgert in ''Babe'' and '' Babe: Pig in the City'', Georgette in ''Oliver and Company'' and ''An American Tail''. Kleinsma performs on regularly base with pianists (most often Cor Bakker or Tony Eyk) or orchestra. As an actress, she became known for her part in the TV-hit series 'Kees & Co' (aired from 1997 to 2006 at RTL Broadcasting). (promoted as ''Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia!'') is a jukebox musical written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, based on songs recorded by Swedish group ABBA and composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, members of the band. Pia Douwes (born 5 August 1964) is a Dutch actress in musical theatre in Europe. She is best known for having created the title role in the German-language musical '' Elisabeth''. Biography Douwes was born in Amsterdam, North Holland, The Netherlands, as ''Petronella Irene Allegonda Douwes'', to an arts dealer and a social worker, and is the grandniece of Doris Day. Initially Douwes wanted to become a nurse for mentally handicapped children, then she danced in a disco when she was 19 years old and realised that she wanted to dance. Esther is the eponymous heroine of the Book of Esther. In the Achaemenid Empire, the Persian king Ahasuerus seeks a new wife after his queen, Vashti, is deposed for disobeying him. Hadassah, a Jewess who goes by the name of Esther, is chosen to fulfill this role due to her beauty. Ahasuerus' grand vizier, Haman, is offended by Esther's cousin and guardian, Mordecai, due to his refusal to prostrate himself before Haman. Consequently, Haman plots to have all the Jewish subjects of Persia killed, and convinces Ahasuerus to permit him to do so. However, Esther foils the plan by revealing Haman's eradication plans to Ahasuerus, who then has Haman executed and grants permission to the Jews to kill their enemies instead, as royal edicts (including the order for eradication issued by Haman) cannot be revoked under Persian law. ''Chicago'' is a 1975 American musical with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Ebb and Bob Fosse.
