Simon Deering
Simon Deering, better known by nickname Hotdogs, was a contestant and 11th evictee of ''Big Brother Australia 2005''. He has continued a career in Australian television. Deering was evicted from ''Big Brother'' in the show's ninth week by a 53% margin. Following this he was appointed host of ''The Up-Late Game Show'', an interactive late-night game show on Network Ten, which screens in the early hours of each weekday in those months of the year when ''Big Brother'' is not running. Deering appeared as guest on the 13 June 2006 edition of '' Big Brother UpLate'' and announced to host Mike Goldman that he had recently moved in with fellow ''Big Brother 2005'' housemate Vesna Tofevski. ''Big Brother Australia 2005'', also known as ''Big Brother 5'', was the fifth season of the Australian reality television series '' Big Brother'', and was aired on Network Ten in Australia, and TV-2 in New Zealand with a four-week delay. The series started on 8 May 2005, with housemates going into the House the day before, and finished on 15 August 2005, lasting 101 days. The theme for this season was "single, sexy and competitive". Auditions for housemates were held in March 2005. In a departure from usual procedure, candidates were not required to send in videos of themselves as had been the case for prior auditions. ''The Up-Late Game Show'' was a late night interactive television quiz program shown in Australia on Network Ten, written and hosted by ''Big Brother Australia 2005'' contestant Simon Deering, commonly known by the nickname Hotdogs. The show's format had the host presenting simple puzzles which viewers could attempt to solve over the phone. Successfully solving a puzzle would result in a cash prize for the contestant. Mike Goldman
Michael Goldman (born 7 November 1972), is an Australian actor, television and radio host and voice over. He has appeared in television roles, mini-series and films like Young Rock, The Wilds and A Place to Call Home. He is the son of television and radio personality Grant Goldman and weather presenter, former miss Australian Beach Girl Erica Hammond. Career Television Recently played an American lawyer in episodes 6 and 7 or Young Rock 2. Now a full time actor and VoiceOver artist, Goldman's first role in television was in a 1991 episode of ''Home and Away'' playing a character named Gavin. ''The Wedge'' was an Australian sketch show created by Ian McFadyen and produced by Cornerbox for Network Ten. ''Home and Away'' (often abbreviated as ''H&A'') is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area. Alfred James "Alf" Stewart is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Ray Meagher. Alf was created as one of the show's eighteen original characters. Meagher originally auditioned for the role of Tom Fletcher, before being cast as Alf. He made his first appearance during the pilot episode broadcast on 17 January 1988.
