Silverpilen
''The Silver Arrow'' (Swedish: "''Silverpilen''") is the nickname of a Stockholm Metro train which features in several urban legends alleging sightings of the train's ghost. Production and history The train is usually referred to as being composed of silver aluminum model C5 cars. Only one such train, composed of eight cars, was built; it was manufactured in the mid-1960s as a test unit. In a fleet of hundreds of green metro trains, ''Silverpilen'' was the only one of the trains that had not been painted and therefore remained silver. Apart from its color, air suspension, a whining distinctive motor sound and the outlying sliding doors (hence the increased passenger capacity), it was almost identical to the other metro trains in service during its lifespan. Kymlinge
Kymlinge () is an area of Sundbyberg Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It is mostly a recreational park, part of which is a nature reserve (Igelbäcken). History The area has been inhabited since the Iron Age. The name is known since 1347, then as ''Kymmelinghe''. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the area was still used as a farm. Since the farm was abandoned, the area has been kept as a park. In the 1970s there were plans to develop the area as a suburb, mainly to accommodate government agencies, state-owned enterprises and other offices moving out from central Stockholm (they needed larger offices). The plans were eventually scrapped, for several reasons. The suburbanisation of Stockholm had already peaked, and some government agencies were instead relocated to other cities in Sweden. Ghost Train (folklore)
In ghostlore, a ghost train is a phantom vehicle in the form of a locomotive or train. The ghost train differs from other traditional forms of haunting in that rather than being a static location where ghosts are claimed to be present, "the apparition is the entire train". Despite the obvious fact that 'sightings' are usually one time occurrences from unreliable or unofficial sources, the stories told have offered both entertainment and unease throughout the years, though really, are nothing more than tall tales. Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. Sundbyberg
Sundbyberg Municipality (''Sundbybergs kommun'' or ''Sundbybergs stad'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, just north of the capital Stockholm. Sundbyberg is wholly within the Stockholm urban area and has a 100% urban population. Sundbyberg was detached from Bromma (which since 1916 is in Stockholm Municipality) in 1888 as a market town (''köping''). It got the title of a city in 1927. ''Aftonbladet'' (, lit. "The evening paper") is a Swedish daily newspaper published in Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of the largest daily newspapers in the Nordic countries. History and profile The newspaper was founded by Lars Johan Hierta in December 1830 under the name of ''Aftonbladet i Stockholm'' during the modernization of Sweden. Kungsträdgården Metro Station
Kungsträdgården is a station of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Norrmalm. It is the end station of line 10 and line 11 and was opened on 30 October 1977, as the 91st station and part of the one-station extension from T-Centralen.
