Silver Lake is a city in McLeod County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 866 at the 2020 census. History Silver Lake was platted in 1881, and named for the lake near the town site. Silver Lake was incorporated in 1889. The city was co-founded by John S. Jerabek. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all land.
