Silsbee High School
Silsbee High School is a public high school in Silsbee, Hardin County, Texas. It is the only high school in the Silsbee Independent School District. Their mascot is the Tiger. Controversy The school and the school district have been criticized for expelling a cheerleader from the school's cheerleading squad because of her refusal to cheer for a basketball player who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting her. The charges were dropped down to assault a year later and the player was given probation. School officials also encouraged the victim to "keep a low profile" and avoid the school cafeteria. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in November 2010 that the victim — who is identified only as H.S. — had no right to refuse to applaud her attacker, because as a cheerleader in uniform, she was an agent of the school. Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M Aggies refers to the students, graduates, and sports teams of Texas A&M University. The nickname "Aggie" was once common at land-grant or "ag" (agriculture) schools in many states. The teams are also referred to as "A&M" or "Texas Aggies," and the official school colors are maroon and white. The mascot is a rough collie named Reveille. A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) is an American professional basketball league. It is composed of twelve teams, all based in the United States. The league was founded on April 22, 1996, as the women's counterpart to the National Basketball Association (NBA), and league play started in 1997. Brandi McCain (born September 21, 1979) is a former American college and professional basketball player who was a guard in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for a single season in 2002. McCain played college basketball for the University of Florida, and the played professionally for the Cleveland Rockers of the WNBA. James Hunter (American Football)
James Edward Hunter (March 8, 1954 – August 2, 2010) was an American football defensive back who played for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). Hunter was the 10th player picked in the 1976 NFL Draft after playing for the late great Eddie Robinson (American football coach), Eddie Robinson at Grambling State University. Hunter is 7th all-time for interceptions in Lions history and is still considered one of the greatest players to ever play at Grambling. His son, Javin Hunter, played for University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2002. Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights.
