Silk (band)
Silk is an American R&B group, formed in 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia. They are best known for their 1993 hit single, "Freak Me", which reached number-one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Career Silk is best known for their hit singles, "Freak Me", and "Happy Days" from their debut album, '' Lose Control''. Another hit from ''Lose Control'', "Girl U For Me", helped the album reach double platinum status. They later had success with singles such as " I Can Go Deep", "Hooked on You", "Don't Rush", "If You" (released February 23, 1999) "Meeting in My Bedroom", and "We're Calling You". Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958April 21, 2016), more commonly known mononymously as Prince, was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. The recipient of numerous awards and nominations, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation. "Adore" is a song by Prince. It is the last track on his 1987 double album ''Sign o' the Times'', following the live track "It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night" (the crowd noise from which bleeds into the beginning of the song). A long, ornate slow jam featuring Atlanta Bliss and Eric Leeds on horns, it was described by '' NME'' reviewer Paolo Hewitt as "a sugar ballad that harks back to the Stylistics but is indelibly Prince's, a lush yet remarkable piece of music, and a fitting climax". It received significant radio play despite never being released as a single, and became an occasional part of Prince's concert repertoire. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States.
