Silesians Together
Silesians Together (official name in Silesian-Polish mix: ''Ślonzoki Razem'') is Silesian regionalist political party in Poland founded in August 2017 by Witold Berus, Andrzej Roczniok (''Union of People of Silesian Nationality'', formerly the Silesian Autonomy Movement) and Leon Swaczyna (formerly the Silesian Autonomy Movement). The party was founded with the idea of creating a Silesian party that would work with the German minority, a concept that originated in 2014. The party is not officially in favor of Silesian independence. It believes that the pre-war autonomy of the Silesian Voivodeship should be restored. However, politicians of Silesians Together does not exclude the support of the project of the independent Silesian state in the event that this project is supported by the majority of Silesians. Kukiz'15
Kukiz'15 is a right-wing populist political party in Poland led by Paweł Kukiz. It was formed in 2015 as a loose movement that registered itself as an association in 2016 and later as a political party in 2020. Initially, it was connected with far-right parties such as National Movement although since 2016 they have moderated its political outlook. During the 2018 local elections, it coordinated with the socially conservative Right Wing of the Republic and in 2019 they joined the Polish Coalition. Due to its eurosceptic stances, its membership was terminated from the coalition and in May 2021 they announced their support for the ruling United Right coalition. 2019 European Parliament Election In Poland
On Sunday 26 May 2019, a vote was held to elect the Polish delegation to the European Parliament. Polish voters elected 52 MEPs, compared to 51 in the 2014 election. The increased number of MEPs is a result of the 2018 reapportionment of seats in the European Parliament. Following the United Kingdom's announcement, that it will participate in elections to the European Parliament on May 23, Poland will continue to be represented by 51 MEPs. The 52nd MEP will take up their mandate immediately after the UK leaves the European Union. Following the announcement of the election results, the National Electoral Commission indicated Dominik Tarczyński from Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie will take up the 52nd seat. 2018 Polish Local Elections
The 2018 Polish local elections were held on October 21 for all 16 provincial (voivodeship, ''województwo'') assemblies, 380 county (''powiat'') councils, and 2477 commune (''gmina'') councils. Silesians ( szl, Ślōnzŏki or Ślůnzoki; Silesian German: ''Schläsinger'' ''or'' ''Schläsier''; german: Schlesier; pl, Ślązacy; cz, Slezané) is a geographical term for the inhabitants of Silesia, a historical region in Central Europe divided by the current national boundaries of Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic. Historically, the region of Silesia (Lower and Upper) has been inhabited by Germans (German speakers), Czechs, Poles and Slavic Upper Silesians. Therefore, the term Silesian can refer to anyone of these ethnic groups. Silesian Autonomy Movement
The Silesian Autonomy Movement ( szl, Ruch Autōnōmije Ślōnska, pl, Ruch Autonomii Śląska, german: Bewegung für die Autonomie Schlesiens), abbreviated as RAŚ, is a movement officially declaring its support for the autonomy of Silesia as part of a unified Europe. The association was founded in January 1990 by Rudolf Kołodziejczyk and is based in the Polish part of Upper Silesia. RAŚ sees the Silesians as a "''separate nation''" rather than primarily as Poles, Germans or Czechs. On 17 October 2009, the Silesian Autonomy Movement signed a cooperation agreement with its German sister organisation, ''Initiative der Autonomie Schlesiens'' (IAS), based in Würzburg, and the UK-based ''Silesian Autonomy Movement''.
