Silent Stream of Godless Elegy is a Moravian folk metal band from the Czech Republic formed in 1995. As of 2020, they have released six studio albums and one EP. Biography Early years: ''Iron'', ''Behind the Shadows'', and ''Themes'' Silent Stream of Godless Elegy was formed in Hranice in 1995 by brothers Michal (drums) and Radek Hajda (guitar). They were joined by bassist Filip Chudý, vocalist and solo guitarist Petr Staněk, and violinist Zuzana Zamazalová. Within their first year of existence, they released the two demo albums ''Apotheosis'' (1995) and ''...Amber Sea'' (1996). They garnered some attention with their debut album, ''Iron'', released in 1996. The album featured strong melodies, Staňek's notable growling vocals, and Zamazalová's distinctive violin sound. Hranice (Přerov District)
Hranice (; german: Weißkirchen or ''Mährisch Weißkirchen'') is a town in Přerov District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 17,000 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. The town is known for the Hranice Abyss. Forgotten Silence is a Czech experimental metal band founded in Brno in 1993. Their earlier material can be described as death metal with some progressive/ art rock leanings. Their 2006 release, ''Kro Ni Ka'' has a much more experimental sound to it, with very few traces of their earlier heavy sound. It won a Razor Award for best metal recording of the year. Yossi Sassi
Yossi Sassi (Hebrew: יוסי סאסי), born 5 February 1975) is an Israeli guitarist and producer who merges traditional and contemporary music. He is the inventor of the "bouzoukitara" musical instrument. He is known for pioneering oriental rock, as well as being the main composer, arranger, and co-founder of Orphaned Land, an Israeli progressive metal band formed in 1991. He also formed the Yossi Sassi Band/The Oriental Rock Orchestra. His debut solo album, ''Melting Clocks'', got him voted "Top Newcomer of 2012" by ''Rock Hard'' magazine readers. His 2016 album ''Roots and Roads'' was submitted for Grammy Award consideration. Early years Sassi grew up in Petah Tikva, Israel. Roland Grapow
Roland Grapow (born 30 August 1959 in Hamburg) is a German professional guitarist and music producer. Grapow is best known for his time in the power metal band Helloween, with which he played for 12 years after replacing founding member Kai Hansen. He subsequently created the power metal band Masterplan in 2001, which is still active today. Life and career Early years Grapow started playing guitar at age 12. His father bought him a guitar and had him take lessons, but Grapow couldn't stand the theory part and his teacher told his father that the boy didn't have any talent for guitar playing. Helloween Prior to joining Helloween, Grapow was a member of the heavy metal band Rampage.
