Sigurd Senje
Sigurd Senje (15 September 1919 – 24 September 1993) was a Norwegian non-fiction writer, novelist and children's writer from Oslo. His writings focused on nature descriptions, local history and World War II. Senje lectured in secondary school for many years, until he became a full-time writer in 1972. Among his World War II books are ''Dum Dum Kuler'' (''Dum Dum Bullets'') from 1973 and ''Forræder Skutt'' (''Traitor Shot'') from 1981. ''Ekko Fra Skriktjenn'' (''Echoes From Skriktjenn'') from 1983 treated the Feldmann case, and was the basis for the 1984 film ''Over grensen'' (''Across the Border''). Among his books on local history are ''Østmarka'' from 1974, a book on Akerselva from 1977, and ''Vi i Østensjøbyen'' from 1985. His musical ''Spillet om Sarabråten'' from 1976 has been performed annually at Sarabråten at Nøklevann, Oslo. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age the area was part of Viken. Oslo was founded as a city at the end of the Viking Age in 1040 under the name Ánslo, and established as a ''kaupstad'' or trading place in 1048 by Harald Hardrada. Feldmann Case
The Feldmann case ( no, Feldmannsaken) was a controversial criminal case in Norway in which two border guides admitted to killing an elderly Jewish couple during their escape from the Holocaust in Norway, and stealing their money. A jury acquitted the two of culpability for the killing, accepting their explanation that the couple endangered not just the mission but the viability of the escape route to Sweden. Prelude On October 22, 1942, a train on the Østfold Line bound for Halden included ten refugees bound for Sweden, of whom nine were Jewish. Also traveling were two border guides, Karsten Løvestad and Harry Pedersen, both of whom may have been wanted by the occupying authorities. ''Over grensen'' (Over the Border) or ''Feldmann-saken'' (The Feldman Case) is a Norwegian drama film that premiered on February 19, 1987. Akerselva
Akerselva or Akerselven ( en, Aker River) is a river which flows through Oslo. It starts at Maridalsvannet in Oslomarka, and traverses the boroughs of Nordre Aker, Sagene, Grünerløkka, central Oslo and Grønland, whereby it finally ends at Paulsenkaien and Oset in Bjørvika. The river is considered to be a part of the Nordmarkvassdraget, and has the Norwegian watercourse number 006.Z. Sarabråten
Sarabråten is an area near the lake Nøklevann in Østmarka, Oslo, Norway. Now a recreational area, it was owned by Thomas Johannessen Heftye and his descendants from 1856 to 1911, and after that by Oslo municipality. It was first recorded under the name Jørgensrud in 1578, when owned by the Diocese of Oslo. A ski jumping hill was located here earlier.
