Sigmund Løvåsen
Sigmund Løvåsen (born 16 August 1977) is a Norwegian novelist and playwright. Career Løvåsen was born in Trysil. He made his literary début in 2003 with the novel ', for which he was awarded the Tarjei Vesaas' debutantpris. In 2006 he published the novel ', and in 2009 the novel ''Mamselle Iversen''. His plays include ''Daga'' from 2004, ''Vente på fugl'' (2009) and ''Vid din sida'' (2011). In 2020 he issued a biography of Kjell Aukrust. Løvåsen was awarded the in 2010. Trysil
Trysil is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Østerdalen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Innbygda. Other villages in the municipality include Nybergsund, Østby, and Tørberget. The municipality is the 15th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Tarjei Vesaas' Debutantpris
Tarjei Vesaas's debutantpris is a prize awarded annually for the best first literary work in Norwegian. It is awarded by the Norwegian Authors' Union, and the organisation's 9-member Literary Caucus constitutes the jury for the prize. They choose the winner based on a free and independent evaluation on aesthetic criteria. In accordance with an agreement between the Authors' Union and the Norwegian Publishers' Association, all newly published Norwegian literature is sent to all members of the Literary Caucus. The members thus choose the year's winner without there being any direct application for the prize. The winner is chosen at the Literary Caucus' annual 3-day January meeting, at which the caucus performs most of the tasks within its mandate, concerning stipends, guaranteed income and prizes. Kjell Aukrust
Kjell Aukrust (19 March 1920 – 24 December 2002) was a Norwegian author, poet, artist and humorist. Aukrust is principally known for his Flåklypa stories and Flåklypa drawings. Personal life Aukrust was born in Alvdal in Hedmark, Norway as a son of Lars Olsen Aukrust (1886–1965) and Louise Walmsnæss (1887–1973). His father was rector at Storsteigen Agricultural School in Alvdal. He was a nephew of poet Olav Aukrust, brother of Odd Aukrust, a noted economist who was responsible for research at Statistics Norway. He was married to Kari Holter in 1947. He trained at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry 1938–42. In 1939, one of his drawings was accepted at the Autumn Exhibition in Oslo. The Norwegian Authors' Union ( no, Den norske Forfatterforening, DnF) is an association of Norwegian authors. It was established in 1893 to promote Norwegian literature and protect Norwegian authors' professional and economic interests. DnF also works in solidarity with persecuted writers internationally. Heidi Marie Kriznik (born 23 February 1970) is a Norwegian novelist. She has served as chair of the Norwegian Authors' Union since 2017.
