Sigfrid Öberg
Sigfrid "Sigge" Öberg (22 February 1907 – 2 April 1949) was a Swedish ice hockey, football and bandy player, known for representing Hammarby IF in all three sports. He won a silver medal with the Swedish national hockey team at the 1928 Winter Olympics and four domestic league titles with Hammarby. Athletic career Ice hockey In 1926, at age 18, Öberg made his debut for Hammarby IF in Elitserien, Sweden's top tier. He would go on to form a feared forward line with Helge Johansson and Erik Larsson in the upcoming years. Öberg won four Swedish championships – in 1932, 1933, 1936 and 1937 – with the club, their first domestic titles. He was known as a physical right winger and a particularly skilled skater, who possessed a great shooting ability and stickhandling. Erik Larsson (ice Hockey)
Erik Waldemar "Burret" Larsson (18 January 1905 – 8 March 1970) was a Swedish ice hockey, football and bandy player, best known for representing Hammarby IF in all three sports. He won the silver medal with Sweden's ice hockey team in the 1928 Winter Olympics. Athletic career Ice hockey In 1924, at age 17, Larsson made his debut for Hammarby IF in the Klass I, Sweden's top division. He would go on to form a feared forward line with Helge Johansson and Sigfrid Öberg in the upcoming years. In 1928, Larsson competed in the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz with Sweden, and won the silver medal. In total, Larsson played 11 international games for his country. Södermalm, often shortened to just Söder, is a district and island in central Stockholm. Overview The district covers the large island of the same name (formerly called ''Åsön''). Although Södermalm usually is considered an island, water to both its north and south does not flow freely but passes through locks. The Swedish Bandy Association ( sv, Svenska Bandyförbundet) is the governing body of bandy in Sweden. It organizes the bandy leagues, Elitserien and Allsvenskan for men and Damallsvenskan for women, and the men's and women's national teams. It was established in Stockholm on 5 April 1925, and is based in Stockholm, after moving from Katrineholm. It is a founding member of FIB, Federation of International Bandy. Bandy was introduced 1895 in Sweden by all round athlete Clarence von Rosen. He picked the game up during a visit in bandy's home country Great Britain. He started the first bandy club in Sweden, Stockholm Hockeyklubb. First in 1905 bandy was organized within Swedish Ballgame Association and a year later within Swedish Football Association. Division 2 (Swedish Football)
Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Overview In the Division, there are 84 clubs which are divided in six groups of 14 teams each representing a geographical area. Swedish Ice Hockey Association
The Swedish Ice Hockey Association ( sv, Svenska Ishockeyförbundet (SIF)) in Swedish, is an association of Swedish ice hockey clubs. It was established in Stockholm on 17 November 1922 by representatives from seven clubs. Before then, organized ice hockey in Sweden had been administered by the Swedish Football Association. In 1920, Sweden became a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). In addition to ice hockey, SIF is also responsible for inline hockey. Swedish Hockey Hall Of Fame
The Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame was created 2011 to honor those individuals who have contributed to Swedish ice hockey. The Hall of Fame includes notable players, coaches, referees and other personalities. The first inductees were honored in 2011 and are recorded with an inductee number. Currently (2018) there are 120 inductees in the hall of fame. Some election is by voting open to the public.
