The ''Herald Review'' is a newspaper printed in Sierra Vista, Arizona, United States. Most of its circulation goes to Sierra Vista, Huachuca City, Hereford, Palominas, and Fort Huachuca. It is also circulated in Bisbee. History Ky Richards Jr. and his wife, Lois Richards, originally from Hawaii, started printing the ''Huachuca Herald'' on Fridays starting October 7, 1955. They put out the first editions on a typewriter, composing stories on their kitchen table. On October 8, 1967, the couple started printing the paper twice a week. At that time, the newspaper hit the streets on Sundays and Wednesdays. On May 22, 1968, the couple sold the newspaper to Sig H. Atkinson of Chandler and Milton I. Wick, founder of Wick Communications. The ''Sierra Vista Herald'' started publishing via offset with 3,000 subscribers in 1968. Sierra Vista is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. According to the 2020 Census, the population of the city is 45,308, and is the 27th most populous city in Arizona. Huachuca City, Arizona
Huachuca City is a town in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,853. Fort Huachuca, a U.S. Army base, is located just south of the municipality. History Huachuca City started out as a stop along the Southern Pacific Railroad. The rail stretched between Tombstone and Patagonia and is no longer in operation today. With the re-opening of Fort Huachuca in 1954, the area began to grow and the community went through several name changes: Campstone Station, Sunset City, and Huachuca Vista, before finally settling on the name Huachuca City. Hereford is a populated place in Cochise County along the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area in the southern part of the U.S. state of Arizona. It is southeast of Sierra Vista and is a part of the Sierra Vista-Douglas micropolitan area. Fort Huachuca
Fort Huachuca is a United States Army installation, established on 3 March 1877 as Camp Huachuca. The garrison is now under the command of the United States Army Installation Management Command. It is in Cochise County in southeast Arizona, approximately north of the border with Mexico and at the northern end of the Huachuca Mountains, adjacent to the town of Sierra Vista. From 1913 to 1933, the fort was the base for the "Buffalo Soldiers" of the 10th Cavalry Regiment. During the build-up of World War II, the fort had quarters for more than 25,000 male soldiers and hundreds of WACs. In the 2010 census, Fort Huachuca had a population of about 6,500 active duty soldiers, 7,400 military family members, and 5,000 civilian employees. Bisbee is a city in and the county seat of Cochise County in southeastern Arizona, United States. It is southeast of Tucson and north of the Mexican border. According to the 2020 census, the population of the town was 4,923, down from 5,575 in the 2010 census.
