Sierra Leone Football Association
The Sierra Leone Football Association is the governing body of football in Sierra Leone. It was founded in 1960 (current association), and affiliated to FIFA the same year. It organizes and runs the national leagues, including the Sierra Leone National Premier League, Sierra Leonean FA Cup, and the national football teams, including the under-17, under-20, under-23, and the senior national team. The Sierra Leone Football Association is formed of elected executive committee members, led by a president, who is currently Isha Johansen, who was elected in August 2013. The ''Daily News'' is an English-language newspaper in Tanzania, the second-largest economy in the East African Community. History The ''Daily News'' was the result of a forced merger of two papers. Sierra Leone National Premier League is a professional football league in Sierra Leone. It was founded in 1967. The league is sponsored by the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, one of the major Sierra Leonean banks. East End Lions and Mighty Blackpool are the two biggest and most successful clubs. Sierra Leone FA Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup, is the national knockout cup competition in Sierra Leone. It was established in 1967. The competition is run by the Sierra Leone Football Association. Cup winners qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup (from 1975 to 2003 cup winners qualified for the now-defunct African Cup Winners' Cup). 2014 FA Cup The 2014 FA Cup began on 9 February 2014 with the matches of Round 1.
