Siegfried Mureșan
Siegfried Mureșan (born 20 September 1981) is a Romanian economist and politician, vice-president of the European People's Party (EPP) since November 2019, vice-president of the European People's Party Group (EPP Group) in the European Parliament and member of the National Liberal Party (Romania), National Liberal Party (PNL). He 2014 European Parliament election in Romania, was elected as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Romania (European Parliament constituency), Romania in 2014 and 2019. Previously, he was a member of the People's Movement Party (PMP) between 2014 and 2018 and the Democratic Liberal Party (Romania), Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) before 2014. Education Mureșan graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) in 2004. He also holds a master's degree in Economics and Management from Humboldt University of Berlin. A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. When the European Parliament (then known as the Common Assembly of the ECSC) first met in 1952, its members were directly appointed by the governments of member states from among those already sitting in their own national parliaments.
