Sidral Mundet
Sidral Mundet is a Mexican apple-flavored carbonated soft drink produced by FEMSA S.A de C.V and distributed in the United States by the Novamex company, which also distributes the Jarritos and Sangria Señorial soda brands. History Sidral Mundet was first bottled in 1902 by Don Arturo Mundet, who produced the cider-flavored beverage. Basing Sidral Mundet on the "limonada" or "gaseosa" drinks that were popular in Mexico at the turn of the 20th century, he utilized the pasteurization technique to keep the drink sterile in the bottling process. The drink has been renowned in Mexico for its nourishing and hydrating abilities and has sometimes been used as a home remedy for stomach aches. Artur Mundet I Carbó
Arturo Mundet Carbó ( ca, Artur Mundet i Carbó, ; Sant Antoni de Calonge, 8 April 1879 - Mexico City, 4 July 1965) was a Catalonia, Catalan businessman based in Mexico. Arturo Mundet came from a family of Catalan Cork (plug), cork manufacturers, and first travelled to Mexico to establish a branch of the company business there. In 1902, he created the Sidral Mundet apple flavoured soft drink which was destined to become popular in the Mexican market and beyond. He was known for his philanthropy, philanthropic work, including the creation of the Recinte Mundet in Barcelona and the Germandat de Sant Antoni de Calonge in his place of birth.
