Siddharth Kara
Siddharth Kara is an American author, activist, and expert on modern-day slavery and human trafficking, child labor, and related human rights issues. He is a British Academy Global Professor, an Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley, and an associate professor at the University of Nottingham. He is best known for his award-winning book trilogy on modern slavery: '' Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery'' (2009), '' Bonded Labor: Tackling the System of Slavery in South Asia'' (2012), and '' Modern Slavery: A Modern Perspective'' (2017). Education and career Kara was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, US, to Indian parents of Hindu and Parsi background. A Modern Perspective
A, or a, is the first letter and the first vowel of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Sanford School Of Public Policy
The Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University is named after former Duke president and Governor of North Carolina Terry Sanford, who established the university's Institute for Policy Sciences and Public Affairs in 1971 as an interdisciplinary program geared toward training future leaders. When the School's current building on Duke's West Campus opened in 1994, the structure was named—and the Institute renamed—in honor of Sanford. The Sanford School offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs in Public Policy. A second building, named for principal benefactor David Rubenstein, opened in August 2005.
