Shutaro Oku
is a Japanese film and stage director. Biography Shutaro Oku was born in 1975 in Tokyo, Japan. From 2000 to 2009, Oku directed many theatrical films, notably ''The Labor Cop'', ''Japanese Naked Tribe'', ''Aka-sen'', ''Cain's Descendant'', and ''USB''. He also participated stage productions as visual planner, like ''Elisabeth'' and ''MOZART!'' for TOHO Musical, ''The Bee'' and ''Egg'' for NODA MAP productions, ''1789'', ''Casablanca'' for the Takarazuka Revue, and more. In 2015, Oku directed the stage play based on 2011 anime series ''Blood-C'', titled ''Blood-C: The Last Mind''. That same year, he directed the stage play of ''Ghost in the Shell'', titled '' Ghost in the Shell: Ghost is Alive''. In 2017, Oku directed the first live-action film adaptation for ''Blood-C'', titled '' Asura Girl: Blood-C Another Story''. Battles Without Honor And Humanity
, also known in the West as ''The Yakuza Papers'', is a Japanese yakuza film series produced by Toei Company. Inspired by a series of magazine articles by journalist Kōichi Iiboshi that are based on memoirs originally written by real-life yakuza Kōzō Minō, the films detail yakuza conflicts in Hiroshima Prefecture. Five films directed by Kinji Fukasaku and starring Bunta Sugawara as Shozo Hirono, who was based on Minō, were produced between 1973 and 1974. They were both critically and commercially successful and popularized the subgenre of yakuza film called '' Jitsuroku eiga'', which are often based on true stories. Fukasaku directed an additional three standalone films under the ''New Battles Without Honor and Humanity'' title between 1974 and 1976. Trails Of Cold Steel
is a 2013 role-playing video game developed by Nihon Falcom. The game is a part of the ''Trails'' series, itself a part of the larger '' The Legend of Heroes'' series. It was initially released in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita before being localized in English by Xseed Games in 2015. A Windows port was also released by Xseed in 2017, which included additional English voice acting. Another port for the PlayStation 4 was released in Japan in 2018, and worldwide the following year. Yoshida Brothers
The are Japanese shamisenist musicians who have released several albums on the Domo Records label. The two brothers are performers of the traditional Japanese music style of Tsugaru-jamisen which originated in northern Japan. They debuted in 1999 in Japan as a duo playing the shamisen. Their first album sold over 100,000 copies and made them minor celebrities in Japan, a fact that surprised the Yoshida Brothers themselves. They have since attracted an international audience. Their music has been a fusion of the rapid and percussive Tsugaru-jamisen style along with Western and other regional musical influences.
