Short Program (manga)
is the title of a series of unrelated short manga collections by Mitsuru Adachi. Four volumes compile stories selected from shōjo, shōnen, josei and seinen works released from 1985 until 2009. Volumes Short Program The first collection, titled simply ''Short Program'', collected stories published between 1985 and 1988. In Japan, Shogakukan published this in November 1988. In the United States, Viz Media published this collection in March 2000. The chapters are arranged differently from the Japanese release, for unknown reasons. As was customary with most manga published in the US at the time, the pages were 'flipped' so that they read left to right, rather than right to left as originally drawn. Mitsuru Adachi
is a Japanese manga artist. After graduating from Gunma Prefectural Maebashi Commercial High School in 1969, Adachi worked as an assistant for Isami Ishii. He made his manga debut in 1970 with ''Kieta Bakuon'', based on a manga originally created by Satoru Ozawa. ''Kieta'' was published in ''Deluxe Shōnen Sunday'' (a manga magazine published by Shogakukan) . Adachi is well known for romantic comedy and sports manga (especially baseball) such as ''Touch'', '' H2'', ''Slow Step'', '' Miyuki'' and ''Cross Game''. He has been described as a writer of "delightful dialogue", a genius at portraying everyday life, "the greatest pure storyteller", and "a master manga artist". He is one of the few manga artists to write for shōnen, shōjo and seinen manga magazines, and be popular in all three. Big Comic Superior
is a semimonthly seinen manga magazine published since July 1, 1987 by Shogakukan in Japan. Its target audience is somewhere between the audience for ''Big Comic Original'' and ''Big Comic Spirits''. The magazine has published works by a number of well-known manga artists, including Ryoichi Ikegami, Mochiru Hoshisato, Yū Koyama, Yūji Aoki, Fumi Saimon, Norifusa Mita, George Akiyama, and Buronson. ''Superior'' was originally a special issue of ''Big Comic Original'', published twice monthly on the 1st and 15th. However, since it was selling just as well as the main three magazines (''Big Comic'', ''Big Comic Original'', and ''Big Comic Spirits''), it began to be released every other week. is a Japanese management and entertainment company, established in May 2019 as a joint venture between South Korean CJ ENM and Japanese Yoshimoto Kogyo. Short Program (TV Series)
is a 2022 Japanese anthology streaming television drama series based on Mitsuru Adachi's manga collection with the same name starring members of boy band JO1 as the male protagonists. The series is produced by Atmovie Inc. and Lapone Entertainment, with Yoshimoto Kogyo as the distributor. It was premiered on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on March 1, 2022. "Dreamer" by JO1 served as the ending theme for the series. Premise ''Short Program'' follows eleven members of boy band JO1 alternately playing the male protagonist in each episode, based on the short stories on youth and romance from Mitsuru Adachi's manga collection with the same name. Each story centers on different theme or activity, such as sports, music, or detective story. Mangaka
A is a comic artist who writes and/or illustrates manga. As of 2006, about 3,000 professional manga artists were working in Japan. Most manga artists study at an art college or manga school or take on an apprenticeship with another artist before entering the industry as a primary creator. More rarely a manga artist breaks into the industry directly, without previously being an assistant. For example, Naoko Takeuchi, author of '' Sailor Moon'', won a Kodansha Manga Award contest and manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka was first published while studying an unrelated degree, without working as an assistant. Pampers is a brand of baby and toddler products marketed by Procter & Gamble. History In 1961, P&G researcher Victor Mills disliked changing the cloth diapers of his newborn grandchild. He assigned fellow researchers in P&G's Exploratory Division in Miami Valley, Ohio to look into making a better disposable diaper. They were created by researchers at P&G including Vic Mills and Norma Lueders Baker. The name "Pampers" was coined by Alfred Goldman, Creative Director at Benton & Bowles. In 1982, P&G developed elasticized single and double gussets around the leg and waist areas to aid in fitting and in containing urine or stool which had not been absorbed. Making his debut in 1972, he first found success with the hardboiled detective manga series ''Doberman Deka'' (1975–1979) alongside illustrator Shinji Hiramatsu. He is best-known for creating the post-apocalyptic martial arts series ''Fist of the North Star'' (1983–1988) with artist Tetsuo Hara, which is one of the List of best-selling manga, best-selling manga in history with over 100 million copies in circulation.
