Short Fast Loud
''Short Fast Loud'' (stylised as 'short.fast.loud.') is a radio show on Triple J in Australia. It is hosted by Joshua "Redbeard" Merriel and features punk, hardcore, emo and similar music. The name for the show was taken from the Kid Dynamite album: Shorter, Faster, Louder (Jade Tree, 2000). The show runs on a Wednesday night from 9pm to 11pm. The show originally started broadcast in January 2004 as a 2-hour format by the show's original host, Stu Harvey, but was extended to a 3-hour version in 2006. It returned to a 2 hour length show in 2022. Stu Harvey stepped aside as host of short.fast.loud at the end of 2014 to focus on other life projects and Josh Merriel has hosted the show since 2015. Triple J (stylised in all lowercase) is a government-funded, national Australian Radio in Australia, radio station intended to appeal to listeners of alternative music, which began broadcasting in January 1975. The station also places a greater emphasis on broadcasting music of Australia, Australian content compared to commercial stations. Triple J is a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. ''Kingwood'' is the sixth album by Swedish punk rock band Millencolin, released on 30 March 2005 in Sweden and 12 April 2005 in North America. The song "Farewell My Hell" originated as an idea for singer Nikola Sarcevic's first solo album, but was used for ''Kingwood'' instead. "Farewell My Hell" was played prominently in the Swedish vampire comedy horror film ''Frostbite''. Release On 26 January 2005, ''Kingwood'' was announced for release in two months' time. Millencolin
Millencolin is a Swedish punk rock band that was formed on 12 October 1992 by Nikola Šarčević, Mathias Färm, and Erik Ohlsson in Örebro, Sweden. In early 1993, drummer Fredrik Larzon joined the band. The name Millencolin is derived from the skateboard trick "melancholy". History The original lineup, consisting of Šarčević (vocals and bass), Ohlsson (guitar), and Färm (drums), released their first demo tape, ''Goofy'', in early 1993. Pennywise is an American punk rock band from Hermosa Beach, California, formed in 1988. Lagwagon is an American punk rock band originally from Goleta, California, just outside Santa Barbara. They formed in 1989, went on hiatus in 2000, and reunited several times over the years. Their name comes from the band's tour van, which can be seen on the back cover of their 1994 second album '' Trashed''.
