Shlomi Lavie
Shlomi Lavie is an Israeli-born American-based musician, best known as the drummer for Marcy Playground. He has also played with various other bands, including Nanuchka and Electro Morocco in New York City, and formerly with The Magical Mystery Tour, a Beatles tribute group, and Habiluim in Tel Aviv. Marcy Playground Lavie joined Marcy Playground in late 2008, replacing drummer Gonzalo Martinez De La Cotera. He was referred to lead singer John Wozniak by bassist Dylan Keefe's wife, who is one of Shlomi's best friends. Wozniak was impressed with Lavie's talent, and Lavie soon joined the band. Kiryat Haim ( he, קריית חיים  , ar, كريات حاييم) is a neighborhood of Haifa, Israel. It is considered part of the Krayot cluster in the northern part of metropolitan Haifa. In 2008, Kiryat Haim had a population of just under 27,000. Kiryat Haim is within the municipal borders of the city of Haifa, and lies on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. History Kiryat Haim, founded in 1933, was named after Haim Arlosoroff, who was assassinated that year. Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk, formed in Petah Tikva in 1932 and originally known "Czecho-Lita," moved to Bat Galim in 1933 and then to the sand dunes of Kiryat Haim, west of the railway. The kibbutz raised vegetables and opened a dairy farm. At this point it adopted a new name: ''Mishmar Zevulun'' (Guardian of Zevulun Valley). Dylan Keefe
Dylan Keefe (born April 11, 1970 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is the bassist and one of the founding members of the multi-platinum selling alternative rock band Marcy Playground. Marcy Playground Keefe, along with vocalist John Wozniak and drummer Jared Kotler, founded Marcy Playground in 1994. Although Keefe grew up in the same city as Wozniak, the two never met until both moved to NY and met through a mutual friend, acclaimed jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. Before joining Marcy Playground, he attended the Berklee Music College of Boston with the band's ex-drummer Dan Reiser, with whom he played in various jazz projects together. Keefe is known for being the shy yet funny guy in Marcy Playground. Aside from providing bass guitar for Marcy Playground, he contributed backing vocals on many of the songs on the band's second album, ''Shapeshifter''. John Wozniak
John Keith Wozniak (born January 19, 1971) is an American musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band Marcy Playground. Early life Wozniak was born and raised in Minneapolis. He learned how to play the guitar at the age of 14. Career Wozniak's first solo effort was ''Zog BogBean – From the Marcy Playground'' recorded in his own home in 1990. In 2006 he recorded his second solo album, ''Leaving Wonderland...in a fit of rage'' (Produced by Jeff Dawson) and while searching for a label to release it on, decided to call it a Marcy Playground album and include new songs recorded with the rest of the band.
