Shirley Meier
Shirley Meier is a Canadian author of science fiction and fantasy. in addition to her own fiction she has also collaborated with S. M. Stirling, Steve White, and Karen Wehrstein. Background Shirley Meier was born in Woodstock, Ontario in 1960. she attended the University of Western Ontario. She lives in Toronto. She was active in the Bunch of Seven, Canada's first speculative fiction writing group. She learned Tao Zen Chuan karate under Bill Chong and Way Lem, obtaining her black belt in 1991. She became an instructor herself, and taught a course in Women's Self-Defense for several years. Canadians (french: Canadiens) are people identified with the country of Canada. This connection may be residential, legal, historical or cultural. A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent).
